Crazy about tech, but like to work closely with clients? We’ve an excellent opportunity to become Account Manager for a rapidly growing technology business based in the heart of Manchester! Based in the vibrant capital of the North, this tech start-up company, specialising in cyber security, is looking for a hardworking individual who is very target driven and possesses excellent account management skills. You can expect to be working in a modern office space alongside a friendly team. Perks include free drinks on a Friday after 4 pm as the office is equipped with bar facilities!

The Account Manager will have to proactively retain and develop the client. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide portfolio of clients and they will be expected to manage the portfolio efficiently, therefore, excellent communication and time management skills are essential for this role.

The Key Responsibilities of the Account Manager:

  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships with new and existing clients
  • Educate team members about any developments within the market that could be beneficial to our sales strategies and help maintain and exceed targets
  • Forecast monthly revenues in order to maintain new business opportunities and exceed targets
  • Step outside the box and recognise areas for improvement and ways to achieve the best for clients
  • Building and maintain strong client relationships by communicating with clients over the phone, via email and through face to face meetings
  • Work closely with other teams when managing account handovers to ensure everyone’s briefed on all aspects of each campaign
  • Regularly liaise with clients throughout all of the campaign development and implementation stages
  • Monitor and analyse performance data before generating detailed reports which present recommendations for future campaigns
  • Regularly search for new business ventures whilst building and maintaining strong client relationships with key contacts

Required skills and attributes of the Account Manager

  • Previous experience in Internet Security
  • Previous experience in client relationship management
  • A strategic mind set and a logical thinker who has a passion for analysing briefs in order to generate an innovative solution
  • Exceptional communication, organisation and leadership skills are also necessary for you to thrive in the role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present confidently to a range of clients and businesses
  • An interest in tech and cyber security is highly beneficial
