Our client is a renowned and multi-award-winning agency located in the heart of Manchester and offers a wide range of marketing services including SEO and Social Media. They are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team, where no two days are the same! The successful candidate will ideally have experience in the digital industry and have a strong network. We are looking for a professional with excellent client presentation skills and most importantly the drive to work autonomously within a fast paced, target driven environment.

The Business Development Manager needs to be passionate about digital whilst using their enthusiastic attitude to develop more business and build strong partnerships! The ideal candidate will have experience working in a digital agency and already have built a great network within the industry. This is a very dynamic role, as the successful candidate will be attending exciting industry networking events and conferences. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary and the chance to work within a fun, successful and entrepreneurial team.

Main responsibilities of the Business Development Manager

  • Generate leads through research, networking etc. and generate interest in the company’s service offerings
  • Respond to and follow up all incoming sales enquiries using appropriate methods
  • Achieve both personal and Company revenue targets
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed targets
  • Constantly update and develop your own knowledge and understanding of industry changes and products.
  • Building strong partnerships and client relationships
  • Participate in industry events to find new business opportunities and be up to date on the newest industry developments and trends
  • Responsible for controlling budgets and managing sales enquiries
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop sales leads into partnerships

Skills and experience required of the Business Development Manager

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a Business Development role
  • Previous experience working in a digital agency
  • A confident, motivated individual who strives to deliver successful results
  • Excellent presentation and organisational skills
  • Enhance customer relationships by using great communication skills
  • Thrives in a busy, hard-working environment
  • Ability to understand client requirements
