Back End Developer

The term ‘Back End Development’ is indicative of the server side of development which is primarily focused on how a website or software works; the functionality of the web applications itself. Back-End code is used to connect a website or software to a database, power an application and manage user connections. A Back-End Developer will be an expert in Back-End coding languages, either specialising within one niche or as a generalist across multiple languages. Common back-end languages include PHP, Java, JavaScript (Node.JS), Python, Ruby and .Net. A career in Back-End Development can lead a candidate across industries including eCommerce, agencies, technology houses or public services.
